It is ideal if you want to practise sticking, movement and coordination without amplifying anything.

Finally, avoid mixing components without a clear signal plan. A conversion works best when every pad, cymbal and controller has a known module input, cable type and mounting position. Make a short build list before you buy:

  • the available inputs and supported zones on your module;
  • the cymbal sizes and mounting hardware you already own;
  • whether you need headphones only, monitoring, MIDI recording or all three.
